New for Summer of 2024! This is our cold brew concentrate. It starts with a freshly roasted bag of our signature light roast coffee.
We cold Brew the coffee for 48 hours. The regular brewing of coffee releases oils and acid in the coffee which are present in the roasted bean. The process of cold brewing, in which the water is not hot, does not release the acid in the same way and thus the coffee has a less acidic profile.
The acid in coffee is not a bad thing as it provides part of the flavor profile and Tesoros del Pais coffee has a fruity acid undertone which tastes like stone fruit in the hot coffee Nonetheless, the cold brew is much less acidic.
In a 48-hour brew, the coffee is extremely concentrated. About 2 oz of the concentrate is enough to make a drink which when mixed with ice, milk, water, or any of those will make a 12 oz drink.
Drinking it by itself, while possible, is not recommended for anyone who is at all sensitive to caffeine. It is extremely strong.
It is recommended to put the cold brew coffee in a refrigerator to store. Because there is absolutely no chemicals or preservatives in this coffee, if left out for a long time at room temperature it will grow mold on top.
Some wonder how it is possible that big name brands can make a cold brew concentrate that is completely shelf stable and will be at a grocery store for months in a plastic bottle without going bad. That is because of the preservatives that they put inside of the coffee to stabilize it.

I don’t normally write reviews, but what compelled me to write this one was a couple of things that need to shared with others.
I was turned onto this coffee by a good friend. To start, I love coffee and would easily consider myself a coffee snob, like so many others in this coffee centric world. I had my go to coffee brands, both local and exotic. Then one day, a friend suggested that I try Tesoros Del Pais distributed by TDP Specialties. The coffee was flavorful and had just the right panache to make me buy more than I would normally buy so I wouldn’t run out of a good thing anytime soon.
Where I thought the level of coffee was good, it was trumped by the level of service, communication, and attention to detail by the team at TDP Specialties. They showed me they cared about my selection of their imported product, made sure I knew I was ordering more than a human could consume in a year, and were professional and kind to deal with through the entire process. Shipping was incredibly fast and the product was safely packaged by their caring team.
I can’t say enough about this coffee and company. Go ahead and buy some Tesoro’s and begin to experience the finer things in life of flavor and service from a top notch company in a sea of internet product fulfillment companies. This coffee tastes amazing and have a nice taste! I use it for my French press and my cold brew set up, definitely my new supplier for my organic coffee beans especially since they buy them and roast themselves.
Rarely do you find a company that not only backs their products, but provides excellent customer service as well. I’ve been searching for this particular Char Siu Sauce for a year now, since the only store that carried it in Anchorage ran out and didn’t restock. NOH makes the absolute best marinade I’ve ever had, and TDP is the only distributor that would attempt to send it here. Kudos to Eric for taking the time and effort to communicate on a human level and get the job done. I’ll be making the world’s best ribs again soon!
I roast my own beans and this is the first time I have purchased beans from El Salvador. The reviews that I read were right on target. Very smooth, rich taste with no bitterness. I usually go with dark roast but took the other reviewer's advise and went with medium roast. It did not disappoint. I also want to support El Salvador's economy any way I can.
Great coffee
I purchased this flour from TDP and everything about is was (and is) excellent. Firstly, the flour arrived quickly and well packaged. Using the flour (with long fermentation period) has greatly improved my pizza making. I highly recommend this product!
TDP Specialties is wonderful. They always have these muffins when I can't get them anywhere else.
As for the cinnamon roll muffins, they are the best. They are very easy to make and the taste is just right. It is not too sweet but gives me just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.
